Kind of Weird is about being stuck between memory and modern life. It is hollow here but also full of love. A love that seeps into the dense, desolate city. And it’s too late and it’s beautiful, and you go out on your balcony to sit. You breathe between drops of a late summer shower. You stare past the pixelated screens and LED billboards, twinkling lights and tall buildings. You set your gaze on the light-polluted plum-grey sky and look. Your vision obscured by rain and distance, you strain to see something: a higher power, or at least the impression of one. It is there and then it is not. You feel something and then you don’t—you are always in between. You are always Kind of Weird.
